Review of Duma (2005) by Anna A — 15 Jun 2007
Surprisingly good. It gets off to a slow start, but once they get out of the city and on the road it really improves. The rather cliche moral they draw at the end I didn't really like, but you have to expect that with movies meant to appeal to kids.
And there were other points of moral interest besides that one. It seemed like a lot of thought went into the portrayal of Duma, and of Ripkuna, who is now my favorite 'indigenous warrior'-style character ever.
