As beautiful as this movie was... I really didn't like it. There was too much melodrama and not enough WOW. Every time I thought something big was going to happen... I was let down. I hated the incredibly slow pace, and the soap opera tone.
The romance stuff was really REALLY boring too. Not to mention the hundreds of distracting dissolves and matte transitons. I really regret that I watched this movie, forreal. How can a wonderfully photographed movie, with what seemed like a huge budget, be so damn bland.
Ugh. Why did I think this would be good??
