Review of Due Date (2010) by Larry H — 02 Nov 2015
I have watched this movie since it came out five years ago and to be honest I was really confused when I decided to review it on IMDb. 6.6 out of 10 is not that low but it's pretty low for what I expected.
OK, I happen to love both these actors and so, an eight makes sense for me, but I would at least expect an overall 7/10...! This is an amazing comedy, lots of funny moments there, not the hilarious really obvious ones, but moments with laughter that is deeply rooted in the traits of each character. The laughs that this movie gets are, most of them, intelligent laughs. This is not a movie with jokes that everyone gets. And that's a good thing.
The plot is amazing and the acting, upon which the movie heavily depends, both from Galifianakis and Downey Jr., was amazing! Just amazing! The supporting cast carried the movie as well with no problems, actually adding nice elements to the story (like the war veteran).
This is a classic that will get laughs out of you no matter how many times you watch it. Yesterday it was my third time and I still laughed most of the time. Good job!
