2: This film gets to me on some level every time. I can easily see why most would dismiss it after perhaps the opening 5 minutes or so, but if one sticks with it it is consistently entertaining. I've seen it numerous times over the years and its hasn't quite gotten old.

Everything about it is so idiotic and ridiculous, and was obviously meant to be that way, that it retains some element of charm. The characters are all extreme caricatures, which is essential to creating the only mood that could work for the picture.

The Macguffin is worthy. The girls are attractive. The story is insane. Etc. It does actually manage to keep one interested almost despite oneself. It isn't exactly a seminal work, but it is memorable and has held up for me over time.
