Review of Dude, Where's My Car? (2000) by Ben D — 22 Jan 2014
I was 7-8 by the time this film came out; of course, being little, I didn't care. A few years later, I saw clips of it; thought it was pretty weird. Now, having seen it entirely, I can say this - for a stoner comedy, the drugs are very limited (from the dog toking to pretty much what happened to the main characters the day/night before the events in the film).
The acting was potentially decent & the story was a little complicated yet almost simple (they were, after all, trying to find the car!), but with the oddball humor and the topic of misadventure thrown in the mix, the film was quite enjoyable.
Not one of the best comedies ever, but still one of the most unique that makes you want to watch it now or then.
