Review of Duck Soup (1933) by Scratch M — 13 Aug 2008

I now no longer trust movie recommendations from Rory Gilmore. Usually Gilmore Girls recommends movies with witty repartee, or completely outlandish scenarios that are worth mocking. This movie, however, thought it was funnier than it really was.

When I watched Harpo and Chico engage in 3 Stooges-style physical comedy with a random guy on the street, I didn't even feel inspired to mock the lot of them. It was just... flavorless. Not a lot of wit, and I was unimpressed by physical gags.
