Review of Drunken Master (1978) by Erno K — 04 Dec 2007
Jackie Chan is old and slow now, but in his heyday he was peerless. The world was still in mourning over the sudden death of martial arts god Bruce Lee when Chan broke into the scene with his signature comedic style.
At the time it was something completely new, and after rejecting everyone who tried to fill Lee's shoes in a serious role, Asia welcomed this young funnyman. His physical ability was incredible as well.
5 stars, because this man created a new genre by himself and this is probably his best movie.
