Review of Drums in the Deep South (1951) by Bruce B — 27 Feb 2009
My copy of this film came from the Mill Creek Combat Classics 50 pack. It was produced in 1951, A story about the Civil War, This movie starts out to be something of a soap opera, a women is married to one man, but when her old boyfriend comes calling at her husbands house, she starts kissing on him, surprising for 1951.
The film's location is supposed to be Georgia, but in fact actual film location was California. The Confederate forces are held up on Devils Mt, to take out Sherman?s advance on Atlanta. Watch the movie to see if it worked.
The color on my DVD was completely washed out, that was disappointing. But the movie is worth 3 stars.
