Review of Drums Along the Mohawk (1939) by Nicole N — 29 May 2008
This movie was a huge disappointment. John Ford and Henry Fonda are both great at what they do and have been involved in some of the greatest films ever made, but this is not it. The plot had no focus, there was no emotional connection between the audience and the characters, and several of the scenes were just idiotic (when Mrs.
McKlennar is telling the Indians that are burning down her house how to get the bed out of the room). I could go on, but instead I'll just say that this is a steaming pile of crap from one of the best directors in film history.
