Review of Drug War (2012) by Kevin R — 27 Apr 2014
A smart story that doesn't give into cliché and a talented ensemble cast make Drug War a sophisticated and provocative crime thriller and also director Johnnie To's best movie in years. The characters are well written, the pace efficiently drawn out and the story keeps you guessing until the very end.
Drug War is probably one of the best movie to come out of Hong Kong since Hard Boiled and is much better than some of the more overrated Hong Kong movies that came out in the last decade such as Infernal Affairs.
