Review of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) by Josh J — 19 Nov 2007
It's the absurdity of it all that makes this movie great, from Kirstie Alley's psychotic level of insanity to Will Sasso's complete stupidity to the entire town's inability to step outside its own insularity.
You can't help but root for Kirsten Dunst -- impeccably naive optimism and blind faith in humanity and all -- as the one thing middle America has going for it. The mockumentary style seals the deal perfectly.
