Such a good mockumentary that I can't believe Christopher Guest had nothing to do with it. All of the characters are extremely exagerated as they should be, and the craziness continues from one scene to the next.
This is definitely not a chick flick as many would think. Yes, it's centered around a beauty pagent, but it's more about crazy simpletons in a small Minnesota town and how such a simple town event causes people to lose their minds.
This movie reminded me of Chris Guest's "Waiting for Guffman.".
