Review of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) by Elaine M — 03 Jan 2009
The most brutally hilarious black comedy ever to have explored this subject, with quality performances from Kirsten Dunst and Amy Adams, and especially Brittany Murphy, in one of her best roles ever. The ideas behind this film are just wonderful and whilst I don't really know how to sum it up, let's just put it this way: if ever the world should hear a message about beauty pageants, this movie is it.
