Review of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1991) by Alex H — 26 Oct 2007
American beauty pageants are a soft target, but this absurdist comedy wrings a great deal out laughs out of its material. The majority of the cast are razor-sharp, especially Kirsty Alley - back before her weight became more important than her acting - with Denise Richards turning in one of the strongest performances of her career (an admittedly low standard to reach) and only Kirsten Dunst letting down the cast as the rather dull protagonist.
