Review of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1991) by Brian M — 20 Nov 2007
Thoroughly entertaining mockumentary about Minnesotan beauty pageants. Contains more than its share of dark humor, supported by gleeful performances from the entire cast. Not exactly at the Christopher Guest standard, but has a wonderfully sly, clever (and pretty sick) streak running through the screenplay, and never ceases to surprise or offend.
The entire movie is worth it for a scene involving a Four Seasons song sung in tribute to a certain lord-and-savior. The definition of class.
