Denise Richards dances with a stuffed Jesus on a cross. Kirsten Dunst is actually likeable. Kirstie Alley is a crazy homicidal pageant mom. Ellen Barkin and Allison Janney are trailer park friends. Brittany Murphy (pre-crazy) is wonderful and steals the show.
Some of the jokes don't work, but the cast is so good it doesn't matter.
