Review of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1991) by Heidi C — 06 Aug 2008
An abysmal affair from start to finish. Its nastiness is matched only by its absolute paucity of genuine laughs. The accents (of an otherwise talented, though wasted, cast) drop in and out, and the movie's adherence to the "mockumentary" structure is largely indifferent.
If you want a reminder of what makes Woody Allen so great, and Christopher Guest occasionally wonderful, suffer through this movie.
