This movie is full of flaws, like the fact that it doesn't know whether it wants to be a kids' movie or a movie geared towards adults. In the end, it's neither - the juvenile humour is just a little too juvenile for most adult audiences, and the sex humour is too grown up for kids.
Regardless, I firmly believe that Rik Mayall as Drop Dead Fred is the perfect melding of actor and character, and I could watch Mayall's Fred for hours. He's definitely the best part of the movie.
