Review of Driving Miss Daisy (2015) by Tom D — 02 Jan 2011
A story that starts off nicely but then must skip ahead several years periodically in the hopes of finding a scene that might be of interest to the viewer. This is by no means a bad film, but it seems stuck in a pacing rut that prevents it from being anything more than decent or average.
Morgan Freeman drives around an old bat in a car for 90 minutes. If anyone but Morgan Freeman did this I'd prefer it if he drove her over a cliff to her death, that at least would make it a little more interesting.
It's simple, which may be one of it's strengths but it simultaneously one of it's weaknesses.
