Review of Driving Miss Daisy (1989) by David W — 02 Jan 2011
What a splendid and sweet film this is. 1989's Best Picture winner about a pair of unlikely friends. Pacing is everything here as it is essentially just several, rarely connecting scenes. There's very little in the way of excess here.
It seems to be the highlights of a 15-year friendship. Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman are outstanding here, as always. Dan Aykroyd is also a joy to watch. You'll be smiling through this whole movie.
