Review of Driving Miss Daisy (1989) by Eric H — 27 Feb 2013
This is a beautiful classic film that gives us a glimpse into the human souls of two very different people...or are they? Unfolding portrayals show that in fact, at their core these two aren't so different after all.
By the film's end, both are getting to quite an age, Daisy (in her 60's at the beginning) now especially geriatric. The closing pumpkin pie scenes are among the most touching anywhere in the cinematic world and will bring a lump to your throat.
This is a truly wonderful, unique, and moving portrait of a most extraordinary relationship.
