Review of Driving Lessons (2006) by Kimberley F — 11 Aug 2011
This film is a showboat for the wonderful Julie Walters who plays a foul mouthed eccentric old actress who has hired Ben (Rupert Grint) as helper and companion. This stoy of akward adolescence is further agrieved by an over controlling religious mother (Laura Linney) who does not listen to her family.
In a way this film reminds me a lot of Harold and Maude, but is no where near as good. I wouldn't really recommend this movie, although I have friends who liked this a lot more.
