Review of Driven (2001) by Weiss H — 16 Dec 2007
Immensly disappointing from Sly. CGI didn't help it either. He has proven he can write winners so I was astounded this is the best he came up with. I would have found it much more satisfying if the film concentrated on one or two characters and centered around Tanto's struggles after retiring as a Grand Prix champion and his emotional return to the track.
It would have a touch of 'Rocky in a race car' about but I love cheering on man against adversity and no one does it more convincingly than Stallone.
