Review of Drive Me Crazy (1999) by David G — 01 Nov 2007
Sort of un update of "Can't Buy Me Love", but instead of a geek trying to become popular it's two teens (one a prep overachiever and the other a bad boy underachiever) who agree to fake a romance in order to make the real objects of their affections jealous.
Pretty typical high school romantic comedy fare, otherwise, with the only exception being the good performances. Melissa Joan Hart reminds me of Lindsay Lohan in her pre-dirty crack ho days, and Adrian Grenier is massively endearing.
A pleasant watch, if you can stand the fact that these kids are about as clean-cut and well-behaved as they come (one of the girls has sex! OoooOOOooo!).
