Review of Drive Me Crazy (1999) by Daniel M — 12 Sep 2008
Not as good, as one would've hoped. I wanted to like this one, and I tried to, but after about 20 minutes in, I just surrendered to the fact, that this was just a terriable teen comedy. Once in a while, it lifts itself out of the gutter, but the films good moments, are few, and far between.
Joan Hart can be a good actress, but after watching her in this, she probably shouldn't have ever attempted to act outside of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. But, then again, it could have just been the moviies fault, I don't know.
This isn't a train wreck, but more like a train that is running low on fuel. Every cliche in the book is seen here, and it was so predictable, that I called what was going to happen maybe an hour before it did.
The only thing slightly good is the soundtrack, (but then again, during the ending credits, you get to hear a guy singing about selling burgers), so, forget I mentioned it. Should be avoided.
