Review of Drive Angry (2011) by John C — 22 Sep 2012

A fun wild ride. About a man who escaped from hell to rescue his daughter from being sacrificed by devil worshippers led by a vicious psychopath played wonderfully over the top by actor billy Burke. But the father played well by Nicolas cage has one big problem a demon hit an sent by the devil to being back Nicolas Cage back to hell and to kill the devil worshippers and their leader before they open the gates of hell. Sounds campy. It is but it's do over the top and clearly we know that everyone in this movie is having one hell of a good time making this movie that we forgt about logic and Judy go along for the wild ride. Dialogue is witty. The action is fun and sometime a little gory but the actors make this film work. William Fitchner is wonderful as the accountant the human sent by the devil to get Nicolas cage. Billy Burke is also quite good as the head of the cult and the sociopath willing to sacrifice a virgin. Plus amber heard is absolute eye candy and works well with Nicolas cage.

I love this movie and will stand by it even though done might hate it and completely disagree with me.
