I am loving Ryan Gosling and I really enjoyed this movie. The action (gore) scenes were taut especially in contrast to the "long awkward pause" scenes. The cinematography was great and really made you feel like you were in the scene.
Great characters! Albert Brooks (?), yes, it worked! The one thing that bothered me was the soundtrack, which I am usually totally unaware of, that seemed to well up and remind you that you were watching a movie.
