Review of Drive (2011) by Thomas L — 02 Oct 2013
Drive is a film that may bore some, but to others will feel like a hypnotizing, almost dreamlike experience. To me, it was an artful, well-shot and intense film with a great performance from Ryan Gosling.
The whole idea is pretty simple, but it is transcended with amazing direction, beautiful shots and a dream-like atmosphere that sometiems instantly gets broken by the sudden violence. Plus being Danish myself, I can't help but admire Nicolas Winding Refn's succes he had in America with this film.
