Review of Drive (2011) by Donnie S — 22 Oct 2015
One of the greatest, if not the greatest film of our generation. Everyone should see this film. It's got something in it for everyone; action, suspense, drama, an outstanding cast, a great soundtrack, and violence. It's the quality that makes Drive superior. It's the mood given off, especially by its' modern digital look. This film shows what our eyes really see: the cars and lights look dreamy and real. Did Refn coin the indie-digital look? He certainly did.
Sidenote, it took a long time to fall in love with 'Drive'. In the end, it introduced me to music that I thought never existed, and inspired me to make films.
