Next to Ryan Gosling music plays a main role in this movie. So that it can feel like you're watching VH1. And it's also a bit out of place. That's what makes it great. Apart from that there's an emotional, engaging story and the usual hero, pretty girl, sacrifice kind of story.
But it's different and definitely above the average.
