Review of Drive (2011) by Christian M — 13 Apr 2016
After re-watching Drive a few nights ago I can reaffirm with an absolute confidence that this is a masterpiece, a pure gem. Its been nearly 5 years since its release and within that time I've viewed this movie over a 100 times and it gets better and better with every watch.
The films ability to capture your imagination through exquisite imagery and its utterly wonderful soundtrack and score is nothing short of miraculous. Drive is not only my favourite film but its the film that made me analyse and pick away at movies, it gave me the power to observe all aspects of filmmaking and then process what I had just witnessed with efficiency and I can't thank and praise this film enough.
Drive is simply astonishing and I would wager that like The Godfather this is the kind of film that shall be used as an item of amazement and it will be looked at and lauded in the many years to come.
