Don't watch Drinking Buddies if you wish to see a grand, climactic 3rd act proclamation of love between the two characters whom you thought played so well together. Drinking Buddies features ordinary people, a realistic plot, and dialogue that simply cannot be written, all of which lends to a refreshingly understated, nuanced chemistry between two confused couples.
