Review of Dressed to Kill (1980) by Sara R — 20 Nov 2009
I do like De Palma movies, but I am very disappointed with this story about a transsexual murder. This movie was made in 1980 and shows us the general misunderstanding of what is a transsexual, as sexual deviation and mental illness; also the scene with the aggressive black guys in the metro attacking Nancy Allen (the prostitute) made De Palma's "Dressed to kill" a very suspicious movie.
Also a lot of references of Hitchcock "Psycho" (y Hitchcock que era tan misogino verdad?). Anyway "Dressed to kill" is a classic thriller.
