Review of Dressed to Kill (1980) by Scott K — 21 Nov 2011
DePalma's reworking of Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window and other bits of Hitchcock is entertaining, funny and suspenseful as hell. There are perhaps 4 truly great and intricately planned and executed set pieces here.
Plus, it takes guts to end your movie, after the killer has been stopped, with a 10 minute dream sequence that is obviously a dream. He pulled the same thing with Carrie but outdoes himself with this one.
