Its not a revolutionary sci fi action film, nor does it break any boundaries. But gee is it fun to watch. With that said dont think this film was a thoughtless, hyper violent endeavor. Yes its got lots of blood, bullets, and smashing faces into concrete, but under all that is a very smart film that knows when to play the philosophy card, when to delve into the action, and when to kick back and let you get to know the characters a little bit.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film and if anything has been left with me after watching, it would be that I am now interested in checking out the comics as well :).
