Review of Dredd (2012) by Barry N — 15 Feb 2014
Dredd is cool, slick, and entertaining. The film is extremely violent and to the point; It's an impressive pop-corn film because Dredd know's what it is and doesn't push to be something else.
Urban is cold and mostly removed emotionally which along with the visor down throughout the film creates a reflection of a situation upon this rock of a being. The action is entertaining and the film moves at a constant speed which makes the film extremely re-watchable.
The solid performances all around create a great introduction to the character of Dredd who will hopefully be brought back for a sequel.
