Review of Dredd (2012) by Tony P — 24 Mar 2014

I was never a fan of the dredd comics, or original film, but everyone was raving about this so I checked it out, it was pretty solid, brutally violent, reminded me of the original robocop in just the depravity of some of the characters, im kinda surprised a studio would make a movie this violent, the plot is simple and straightforward, didnt try to be too complicated, urban is solid in the lead, I thought thirlby would be annoying but she actually did a good job, tho her psychicness was a bit of a stretch, headey was good as the villain, I wish theyd have more female villains, all in all a bloody good time.
