Review of Dredd (2012) by Jesse C — 07 Aug 2014

Well acted (I now want Karl Urban for Batman someday), great effects, intense action scenes, the only flaw I really saw with this film was I didn't think it had much going for in terms of story. I sat back and thought "Wow that was cool, but there wasn't much story, take out the action scenes and this could be just a norm-" then it hits me "F@#K!! This IS a normal day for these people!" It's like an episode of Cops if we lived in a post-apocalyptic world.

It's sad the film failed at the box office, it's sad that a genuinely good action film like this bombs at the box office, while films made by Michael Bay make a billion dollars apiece. Still this is a great action film, and I hope the rumors I've heard of a sequel are genuine.
