Review of Dredd (2012) by Divine S — 17 Dec 2013

I can applaud the movie for showing the desperation and filth of living in a Mega City and the towers. It was gritty and stylish. But we've seen this future before. I however did not like the violence and gore that seemed just to be for the cheap thrill.

The story was ok and I don't know the stories in the comic series but it was 'different' because of the tower's tricks. I liked the surviving one location. In general, I wouldn't want to see this movie again.

I liked the cast but it was just too dirty and cheap thrills. It is sad if that doesn't make us cringe anymore.
