Review of Dreamscape (1984) by Keith G — 05 Apr 2010
"Dreamscape" is part science fiction and part political thriller but it never gets the two to gel together as well as they should. The science fiction is enjoyable and builds off of an interesting concept.
The political part of the storyline feels cheap and never sparks much interest. The great cast gives good performances, aside from Quaid's occasional cheesy overacting. Kate Capshaw is beautiful and her scenes are some of the film's best.
Not as good as it should have been considering the acting talent but still an entertaining film.
