Review of Dreamgirls (2006) by Rick L — 15 Jul 2009
Stellar cast, but I could probably count on one or two hands the musicals I like and this isn't one. The makers seemed confused whether this was Holywood or Broadway and to my mind betrayed both genres; some scenes done in passionate dialogue others just sung for no apparent reason.
I saw it because it was highly recommended to me for years. I don't know why.
