Do not even get me started as to how magical this film is: the outstounding music, the story (based on The Supremes), the acting, the costumes, the cinematography... everything is perfect... an instant Classic and a credit to 21st Century cinema. Bill Condon brought his signature glamour for costumes, lighting and cinematography for musicals from "Chicago" (2002, dir. Rob Marshall) to this film and you are not watching a film - you are in front row seats to Dreamgirls: The Musical.

The best part if that Jennifer Hudson is not even acting, she's just being herself like she was on American Idol. And how many actresses go on to recieve an Academy Award for their debut feature film? The best... Beyoncé is also on top form acting and singing at the same time which are no easy task. Eddie Murphy certainly shows his sensative side and Jamie Foxx takes the same talent he had from "Ray" (2004, dir. Taylor Hackford) and dominates the role of Curtis Taylor Jr.

Everybody is at top form and thanks to the costumes, lighting and cinematography we are transported into the film by the magical powers of musicals. The did not even become a perfect adaptation of the musical because it used some non-fiction and had some new songs and new scenes created and that made it better than brilliant! This film has soul and is a tribute to music. May we make an official 'Dreamgirls Day' in the world for this film, because it's Oscar wins are not enough to honour this DREAM.
