Review of Dreamgirls (2006) by Joel V — 23 Dec 2009
I really enjoyed this picture, I can also see that this film really did touch Beyonce Knowles too.. She filmed her debut song, "Listen" in four different versions, and also has made attempts to communicate more and record with the former members of her group destiny's child.
All of the actor's played the role of the characters very well, and I particularly enjoyed this film because I was able to witness the pivotal moments of different peoples lives from a large spectrom.
This story gives us insight of a young star life starting out in the music, recording, and performing arts industry, and also show's us the life of a young single parent struggling to provide for her family.
Were able to also see a young woman manipulated and also rise up above and take control of her destiny. This film definitely takes you on a journey, and allows you to witness various emotions and settings in these people's lives.
This film can also be used for educational purposes because it portrays how the early development of the music and/or recording industry has established itself.
