Review of Dreamcatcher (2003) by Brad S — 19 Jan 2012

This movie really didn't work for me. I had a lot of issues with it from story, to acting and even the Visual Effects. The 2 main issue I think are the screenplay and the director. I suspect that there was too much information in the book to convey in a 2hr movie and I also think Kasdan isn't the right fit for a Stephen King super-natural thriller.

I thought the performances of the kids weren't great, some of the cinematography was shoddy, and a lot of the story elements weren't really explained including the tile Dreamcatcher. Also, I didn't like the ending, and the DVD included an alternate ending which I actually thought was better. Skip it!
