Review of Dream Wife (1953) by Corey N — 19 Nov 2010
This was a decent enough romantic comedy. It stars Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. The film basic plot has Grant and Kerr character's as a couple engaged to be married. But some differences come up and they break up.
So Grant seeks out to marry the perfect wife. This wife though is a princess and has ties to oil. Step in Kerr character with the US government that want to make sure everything goes smooth for this wedding so they can get a oil contract.
Grant and Kerr are both very good in this. The story overall is a bit silly but fun. Not one of Grant's best comedies but still he made me laugh in this. Worth at least a one time watch.
