Review of Dream House (2011) by Tom R — 14 Mar 2012
(2 Stars) There's not a lot to say about Dream House. It sounds like no one involved making the film liked it that much. It's not scary, there are many better psychological thrillers dealing with schizophrenia, and if you've seen the trailer, you know one of the key plot twists.
So why bother watching it unless you like watching bad things happening to a nice family (Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz)? If there is a positive I can give it, the cinematography and certain set designs are better than the story and any scenes involving falling snow are remarkably beautiful.
Dream House is short, but skippable.
