Review of Dream House (2011) by Mads D — 30 Mar 2012
What a convoluted film given the great talent involved in the picture. Given the structure of the story and the time allowed for the story to unfold, the twist of the dual identity of Daniels character and the lack of dimension for the true killer for the wife and kids falls incredibly flat.
Also the tonal issues plague the film since it is supposedly a thriller whodunnit and to be so clusomely combined with a heartfelt family drama of sorts makes your feeling regarding it falling in all of the wrong places.
Not surprised that Sheridan supposedly dumped credit for the project.
