Review of Dream House (2011) by Chris G — 07 Apr 2012

Dream House was set up (and was advertised) as a haunted house-style ghost story, but it's never scary and never energetic. It comes off as a sad, half-assed mix of The Others and The Amityville Horror.

What really killed this movie for me was that the pace is unbelievably slow and the so-called "twist" is absolutely absurd. Sadly, this film is nothing more than another unfortunate blemish on the careers of all it's talented cast and crew.

I give it 1 star for the mystery/suspense element of the movie, which was ok. That's it.
