I would put 'Dream House' in the same category as the movie 'Gone', an amazing story until the end fell short of what I would have wanted to see. At the same time, the ending wasn't so horrible that I couldn't walk away from the movie feeling as though it was horrible.
Hence, the 4 stars, because it had me at 5 stars for most of the film.
