The story is about Will Atenton played by Daniel Craig who is living with his wife Libby played by Rachel Weisz and his two daughters. But it turns out that their house is haunted as 5 years ago, a family of four was killed having the father survive and end up in a mental institution.

It turns out that Will is infact the father of the murdered family from five years ago named Peter Ward. He soon bumps into Ann Patterson played by Naomi Watts and her daughter Chloe played by Rachel G.

Fox who were actually friends of his family. Oh and the second twist is that Ann's ex-husband Jack played by Marton Csokas hired Boyce played by Elias Koteas to kill Ann for divorcing him but ended up in the wrong house killing the wrong family.

Will and Ann escape the house and he writes the novel 'Dream House about his experiences in the house using the name Peter Ward on the book. This movie got a lot of hatred because the story dragged on, wasn't scary and was stuffed with painfully obvious scenes.

For me, I thought it was a decent mystery/horror/thriller. For the guy who before this directed Brothers, this was a decent film, had major twists and turns in it and was quite a ride. The only problem or word of advice I would say out loud is that if you have seen the trailer, then you have pretty much seen the movie because everything you see in the movie trailer just spoils it for you.

Dream House gets a 8.25/10.
